Purpose

The Senior Sales Representative at XTM will report directly to the Chief Revenue Officer. The individual’s main priority will be to drive the growth of a branded, hospitality/services-based payment solution with a focus on the US market.


The individual will lead and participate in all aspects of the sales cycle, including generating leads, driving opportunities, managing prospect relationships, and closing new business. This position requires an entrepreneurial mindset to identify and reach prospects and an individual who has experience in B2B sales. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, highly-motivated, and a results-oriented team player with high social intelligence and a natural inclination for selling, who understands the value and importance of targets and driving towards deliverables.


The individual will have an understanding and experience with Consultative Selling. They will be highly driven and value the benefit of being part of an agile, growing team. ​ As this is a hybrid role, the successful candidate will be based in North America and be required to travel to Toronto up to a few times per quarter.

Responsibilities
  1. Adhere to a sales strategy plan to meet/exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual goals.

  2. Develop pipeline in sales territory through prospecting, meeting, attending conferences/events, calling, and emailing.

  3. Input analysis and insight, accurate and timely data within the Sales CRM system, and accurate forecasting.

  4. Schedule and lead customer introductions and meetings.

  5. Leverage LinkedIn to promote company services and generate new prospects.

  6. Listen to and interpret customer requirements, build knowledge of customer challenges, and present solutions that directly apply to customer needs.

  7. Deliver sales presentations.

  8. Measure the outcomes of different messaging and contact approaches and adapt to continuously improve results.

  9. Maintain up to date knowledge on services offered by the company and its competitors.

  10. Craft relevant communications that engage senior executives.

  11. Participate in team meetings to keep the company up-to-date on sales efforts.

  12. Positively represent the company and provide excellent customer service.


Required Experience, Knowledge, and Skills
  1. 3-5 years of relevant experience in successful payments, hospitality operations, and/or B2B sales or account management.

  2. Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university with a focus in Sales, Marketing, or Business.

  3. Strong network in the hospitality industry and the ability to close enterprise accounts.

  4. Successful sales track record with the ability to provide documented results.

  5. A motivated self-starter capable of hunting and closing opportunities.

  6. Ability to manage solution sales in a consultative manner.

  7. Track-record of sales success at previous jobs.

  8. Strong ability to meet/exceed goals through strong execution of plans.

  9. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

  10. Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.

  11. Demonstrated ability to explain complex items in a simple way.

  12. Strong research, organizational, and time management skills.

  13. Highly-motivated and results-oriented team player.

  14. Great attitude with a positive mindset.


Nice to Haves
  1. USA Sales experience is preferred.

  2. Experience using a CRM software as part of the sales process, specifically Hubspot, is an asset.


Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
  1. Hours are generally Monday-Friday, 9AM to 5PM but additional hours may be required.

  2. Average amount of physical effort is required.

  3. Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.

  4. Computer use (multiple screens if applicable) for prolonged periods of time.

  5. Travel as needed (typically for large prospects that are well qualified).
